All you need for this activity is a few sticks. Lay your sticks on the ground parallel to each other, like the rungs of a ladder. Have your child jump from one gap to another. If your child masters two-foot jumping, mix things up, and get them to hop on one foot. As your child progresses, move the sticks a little further apart to keep it challenging.

Red Light, Green Light (Yellow Light) – Play the game Red Light, Green Light with your child. This game will help them to practice moving and stopping with control. When you say “green light”, your child will run toward you. When you say “red light”, they will stop. If they do not stop when you say red light, they will go back to the start. Add in yellow light for a different challenge. When you say “yellow light”, your child will walk toward you.

Ball in the Bucket
Provide a container such as a box, laundry basket or bucket and a ball
Invite your child to stand a few feet away from the bucket
Have your child attempt to throw the ball into the bucket
Move the bucket closer if needed
Move the bucket further away or use a container with a smaller opening as he or she improves accuracy
Change the game by adding water to the bucket!

Have your child dance along to Sesame Street, Usher’s ABC Song found on YouTube. This is a fun way for your child to move his body while learning letters of the alphabet https://youtu.be/SWvBAQf7v8g
